Hubungan Bobot Potong dengan Bobot Karkas dan Non Karkas Domba Ekor Tipis (DET) di PT Sedana Peternak Sentosa
Abstract
Bobot potong, bobot karkas dan bobot non karkas merupakan komponen penting di lingkup peternakan ketiga komponen tersebut memiliki nilai ekonomis yang menjadi dasar pertimbangan harga pembelian ternak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara bobot potong, bobot karkas dan non karkas pada Domba Ekor Tipis di PT Sedana Peternak Sentosa. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan 113 ekor domba berjenis kelamin jantan dan betina yang termasuk dalam kategori PI0 sampai PI3. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier dan analisis korelasi. Variabel yang diamati adalah bobot potong, bobot karkas dan non karkas yang dibagi menjadi (bobot kepala, bobot kulit, bobot kaki, dan bobot jeroan). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang masuk dalam kategori sangat kuat antara bobot potong dengan bobot karkas dengan nilai korelasi jantan 0,992 dan betina 0,987 serta rumus persamaan regresi jantan Y = -1,906 + 0,557 X dan betina Y = -2,170 + 0,551 X, selain itu hubungan bobot potong dengan bobot non karkas juga memiliki hubungan yang kuat. Dengan mengetahui bobot potong maka dapat diprediksi bobot karkas dan non karkas domba ekor tipis (DET) jantan dan betina. Slaughter Weight, Carcass Weight and Non-Carcass Weight are important components in the livestock sector, these three components have economic value which is the basis for considering the purchase price of livestock. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between slaughter weight, carcass weight and non-carcass in Thin-Tailed Sheep at PT Sedana Peternak Sentosa. This study methods used 113 male and female sheep included in the PI0 to PI3 categories. Data were analyzed using linear regression analysis and correlation analysis. The variables observed were slaughter weight, carcass weight and non-carcass which were divided into (head weight, skin weight, leg weight, and offal weight). The results showed that there was a correlation that was included in the very strong category between slaughter weight and carcass weight with a correlation value of 0.992 for males and 0.987 for females and the regression equation formula for males Y = -1.906 + 0.557 X and females Y = -2.170 + 0.551 X, in addition the correlation between slaughter weight and non-carcass weight also had a strong relationship. By knowing the slaughter weight, the carcass and non-carcass weight of male and female thin-tailed sheep (DET) can be predicted.
