      Penerapan Metode Time Study pada Proses Quality Check Produk Shaft di PT Tanah Sumber Makmur

      Abstract
      Industri manufaktur memegang peranan penting dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi, dengan efisiensi dan produktivitas sebagai indikator kunci keberhasilan. Optimalisasi proses produksi dapat dicapai melalui penerapan metode kerja yang tepat dan pengukuran kerja yang akurat, seperti time study. PT Tanah Sumber Makmur, produsen komponen logam, menghadapi kendala dalam proses quality check produk Shaft yang dilakukan secara manual dan sensus oleh empat pekerja. Proses ini mengalami keterlambatan akibat beban kerja tinggi, kelelahan pekerja, serta ketidaksesuaian instruksi kerja dengan kondisi aktual. Instruksi kerja yang tidak diperbarui menyebabkan pekerja menjalankan lebih banyak tahapan pengecekan dari yang direncanakan. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan studi waktu untuk menetapkan waktu baku yang realistis guna meningkatkan efisiensi, mengurangi beban kerja, dan menjaga kualitas serta kesejahteraan tenaga kerja. Tujuan penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu menganalisis kondisi aktual proses quality shaft dengan melakukan observasi dan pengukuran kerja menggunakan metode jam henti sehingga dapat mengidentifikasi alternatif solusi yang mendukung jawaban atas permasalahan yang terjadi. Pembahasan yang dikaji pada laporan ini meliputi peta kerja, ergonomi, studi gerakan, ekonomi gerakan, dan pengukuran waktu baku. Pembahasan berfokus pada proses quality check produk Shaft dengan hasil pengukuran waktu baku untuk produk Shaft selama 68,57 detik. Sehingga didapatkan estimasi produk yang dapat dikerjakan oleh satu pekerja QC dalam 7 jam kerja efektif yaitu sebanyak 367 produk. Estimasi tersebut berada di atas jumlah rata-rata produksi harian Shaft yang menunjukan masih terdapat selisih antara kapasitas kerja dengan peforma aktual produksi.
       
      The manufacturing industry plays an important role in economic growth, with efficiency and productivity as key indicators of success. Optimization of the production process can be achieved through the application of appropriate work methods and accurate work measurements, such as time studies. PT Tanah Sumber Makmur, a manufacturer of metal components, faced problems in the quality check process of Shaft products which was carried out manually and census by four workers. This process experienced delays due to high workload, worker fatigue, and the mismatch of work instructions with actual conditions. Work instructions that are not updated cause workers to carry out more stages of checking than planned. Therefore, a time study is needed to establish a realistic standard time to improve efficiency, reduce workload, and maintain the quality and welfare of the workforce. The purpose of the research conducted is to analyze the actual condition of the quality shaft process by observing and measuring work using the downtime method so as to identify alternative solutions that support the answer to the problems that occur. The discussion reviewed in this report includes work maps, ergonomics, movement studies, movement economics, and standard time measurements. The discussion focuses on the Shaft product quality check process with the results of measuring the standard time for Shaft products for 68.57 seconds. So that the estimated products that can be done by one QC worker in 7 effective working hours are 367 products. The estimate is above the average daily production of Shaft which shows that there is still a difference between work capacity and actual production performance.
