      Karakteristik Organ Pencernaan dan Ketahanan Tubuh Puyuh Betina dengan Pemberian Ekstrak Bandotan dalam Air Minum

      Abstract
      Suhu di luar zona nyaman puyuh dapat memicu stres panas pada puyuh sehingga diperlukan penambahan antioksidan untuk mengurangi stres tersebut. Pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun bandotan dalam air minum sebagai anti stres pada puyuh dan dampaknya pada organ pencernaan dan ketahanan tubuh belum banyak dilaporkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis ekstrak daun bandotan dalam air minum terhadap karakteristik organ pencernaan dan ketahanan tubuh puyuh betina. Peubah yang diamati meliputi persentase bobot dan panjang relatif organ pencernaan, persentase bobot organ ketahanan tubuh, serta total leukosit. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan. Setiap taraf perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali. Dosis perlakuan yang diberikan adalah 0% (P0) sebagai kontrol; 0,15% (P1); 0,30% (P2); dan 0,45% (P3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian ekstrak daun bandotan dalam air minum tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap esofagus, tembolok, ventrikulus, duodenum, jejunum, ileum, sekum, usus besar, hati, pankreas, bursa Fabricius, limpa, dan total leukosit. Akan tetapi, berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap persentase bobot dan panjang relatif proventrikulus.
       
      Temperatures outside the quail's comfort zone can cause heat stress, requiring antioxidants to reduce its effects. Bandotan leaf extract in drinking water shows potential as an anti-stress agent, but its impact on digestive organs and immunity in female quail has been little studied. This study aimed to analyze the effect of bandotan leaf extract in drinking water on the digestive organs and body resistance of female quail. Observed variables included the percentage of weight and relative length of digestive organs, weight percentage of immune organs, and total leukocytes. A completely randomized design (CRD) was used with four treatment levels and five replications: 0% (P0/control), 0.15% (P1), 0.30% (P2), and 0.45% (P3). Results showed no significant effect on the esophagus, crop, ventriculus, duodenum, jejunum, ileum, cecum, colon, liver, pancreas, bursa of Fabricius, spleen, and total leukocytes. However, there was a significant effect (P<0.05) on the percentage of weight and relative length of the proventriculus.
