      Abstract

Bali cattle have great potential for development due to their high carcass percentage and economic value. This study aimed to analyze the carcass productivity of Bali cattle bulls fed with different feed combinations. The study involved 14 Bali cattle bulls aged I2–I3 (24–36 months) with an average body weight of 296.5±28.95 kg. During the reconditioning period, the feed was adjusted according to the treatments (P0 = 80% elephant grass, 20% concentrate, P1 = 60% elephant grass, 20% concentrate, 20% sorinfer, P2 = 40% elephant grass, 20% concentrate, 40% sorinfer). The observed variables included live weight, carcass weight, meat, bone, and non-carcass components (offal, hide, head, and legs), along with their respective percentages. Data were analyzed using analysis of covariance (ANCOVA), with initial body weight as the covariate. The results showed that carcass and non-carcass productivity did not differ significantly. However, the leg weight of Bali cattle in the P0 treatment group was significantly higher (P < 0.05) compared to the other treatments. The average leg weight in P0 was 7.01±0.49 kg, while the values for P1 and P2 were 5.73±0.47 kg and 6.13±0.63 kg, respectively.
