Estimasi Stok Karbon Tinggi (SKT) di Areal Hak Guna Usaha (HGU) PT. Karya Dewi Putra Kabupaten Katingan, Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah
Abstract
PT. Karya Dewi Putra (PT. KDP) is a company engaged in oil palm plantations in Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan
Province. The company has a strong commitment to sustainable oil palm plantation management. To minimize the negative impact of
the company's operational activities on the High Carbon Stock (HCS) area in the area, an inventory of HCS forests is needed. This
study aims to identify the High Carbon Stock (HCS) area in the Cultivation Rights area of PT. KDP, Katingan Regency, Central
Kalimantan Province. Based on the results of the HCS forest inventory, it was found that in the diameter class >50 cm, 6 trees/ha were
found, namely 3 trees/ha in High Density Forest (HDF), 2 trees/ha in Medium Density Forest (MDF) and 1 tree/ha in Low Density
Forest (LDF); in the 30-49.9 cm diameter class, 17 trees/ha were found, including 4 trees/ha in High Density Forest (HDF), 5 trees/ha
in Medium Density Forest (MDF), 4 trees/ha in Low Density Forest (LDF), 2 trees/ha in Young Regeneration Forest (YRF), and 2
trees/ha in Plantation-Agriculture (AGRI). The distribution of trees in the 15-29.9 cm and 5-14.9 cm diameter classes was found in
each land cover class. The highest carbon stock estimate in the PT. KDP Cultivation Rights area was found in the Plantation-
Agriculture (AGRI) land cover class of 452,443.48 tC; while the lowest was in the Open Land (OL) cover class of 1,020.84 tC. The
estimated area for vegetation stratification shows that the potential HCS class in the PT. KDP covers an area of 835.76 ha, while the
non-SKT class in the area covers an area of 11,613.47 ha.
