      Abstract

Bali cattle are adaptive and productive livestock native to Indonesia, but long- distance transportation can trigger stress that affects their behavior. This study aims to analyze the behavior of Balinese cattle during the reconditioning period after long-distance land transportation with different feed treatments. The study used eight male Balinese cattle aged 24-36 months with an average weight of 312.4±24.1 kg. The cattle were divided into two treatments: control diet (P0) consisting of 80% elephant grass and 20% concentrate, and treatment diet (P1) consisting of 60% elephant grass, 20% concentrate, and 20% sorinfer. Behavioral observations including ingestive, aggressive, standing, laying, and defecation were conducted for seven days using CCTV cameras. Records were made using the cowlog application and analyzed using an unpaired T test. There was no significant difference between the two feed treatments on the frequency and duration of the observed behaviors. the frequency of standing behavior and the duration of laying behavior were most dominant during the reconditioning period in both treatments.
