      Produktivitas Ulat Sutra Eri (Samia cynthia ricini) Galur Pasopati dan Prasojo pada Suhu Lingkungan yang Berbeda

      Abstract
      Ulat sutra eri (Samia cynthia ricini) galur Pasopati dan Prasojo merupakan jenis ulat sutra nonmurbei galur sintetik dengan produktivitas tinggi yang dipengaruhi oleh suhu. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis produktivitas ulat sutra eri galur Pasopati dan Prasojo tinggi pada suhu kandang yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan faktorial dengan dua faktor yaitu suhu dan galur dengan dua taraf suhu yaitu 25-27 ? dan 32-34 ? dengan tiga ulangan untuk setiap galur. Penelitian ini menggunakan 1200 ekor ulat sutra eri (S. c. ricini) galur Pasopati dan Prasojo dengan peubah yang diamati yaitu pertambahan morfometrik, lama fase larva, bobot per kokon, produktivitas kokon, dan keberhasilan imago. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kedua galur memiliki lama fase larva yang sama, galur Pasopati unggul pada peubah morfometrik suhu ruang dan bobot per kokon (1,59 g), sedangkan galur Prasojo unggul pada peubah lebar morfometrik suhu tinggi, mortalitas (5,67%), produktivitas kokon (76,33%), dan keberhasilan imago (31,33%). Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah galur Prasojo memiliki ketahanan yang lebih kuat dan produktivitas yang lebih baik terutama pada suhu tinggi namun memiliki bobot kokon yang lebih rendah dibandingkan galur Pasopati.
       
      The Pasopati and Prasojo strains of eri silkworm (Samia cynthia ricini) are non–mulberry silkworms noted for their high productivity, which is influenced by temperature. This study, conducted with high scientific rigor, aims to analyze the productivity of the Pasopati and Prasojo strains at various environmental temperatures. The research utilized a factorial design with two factors: temperature and strain, employing two temperature levels, 25–27 °C and 32–34 °C, with three replications for each strain. A total of 1200 Pasopati and Prasojo strain eri silkworms (S. c. ricini) were used, and the observed parameters included morphometric gain, mortality rate, larval phase duration, weight per cocoon, cocoon productivity, and imago success. The results obtained through careful data collection and analysis underscore the reliability of our findings. Both strains exhibited the same duration for the larval phase. The Pasopati strain excelled in morphometric parameters at room temperature and cocoon weight (1,59 g). In contrast, the Prasojo strain excelled in morphometric parameters at high temperatures, showing a mortality rate of 5,67%, cocoon productivity of 76,33%, and imago success of 31,33%, all measured at room temperature. In conclusion, this study determined that the Prasojo strain displayed stronger resistance and enhanced productivity, particularly at elevated temperatures. However, it had a lower cocoon weight compared to the Pasopati strain.
