      Abstract

Good Dairy Farming Practices (GDFP) are efforts aimed at improving the productivity of dairy cows. One of the critical and influential aspects of GDFP is the good health aspect. This aspect plays a vital role in maintaining optimal production stability and enhancing overall productivity. The good health aspect consists of several factors: disease knowledge, disease prevention, disease treatment, and post-illness management. This study aims to evaluate the most influential determinant factor in the good health aspect using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Observations and interviews were conducted with 11 farmers from the KANIA Dairy Cattle Farmers Group and 4 experts, including academics, practitioners, and government representatives. The evaluation results of the good health aspect indicate that the most influential determinant factor is disease prevention, with a combined score of 29,09% and an AHP weight of 0,40, making it the top priority according to the experts. Disease prevention includes administering vaccines, vitamins, and other supplements, ensuring environmental sanitation, and maintaining livestock cleanliness.
