      Abstract

Shallot production in Indonesia remains relatively low. Increased shallot production can be achieved through fertilization based on soil analysis tailored to plants nutrient need. The application of fertilization using fertigation through drip irrigation system is expected to improve the productivity of shallot ‘Bima Brebes’. The research aims to determine the optimal N, P, dan K fertilizer doses recommendation to achieve maximum production. This research was conducted at the Cikarawang Experimental Farm, Bogor Agricultural University with latosol soil type, C-organic 1.85%, available P 2.3 ppm (very low), available K 14.7 ppm (very low), and pH 5.76. The research used a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four repetitions and five levels of fertilization, 0%X, 50%X, 100%X, 150%X, and 200%X. The dose treatment on shallot not significant effect on growth parameters and production components, except for weight loss per bed. The fertilization dose treatment on shallots reached a potential yield of 11.07 tons ha-1. The recommended doses for fertilizing shallot plants cannot be determined.
