      Abstract
Rata-rata persen penyisihan keseluruhan 92.59%.

Bagasse has the potential to lower zinc (Zn) levels by converting it into activated carbon to purify water and lower heavy metal levels in water. Design and build filtration equipment has a downflow system. The research method is experimental by turning biomass into activated carbon as a filter medium. The filter media used include silica, bagasse activated carbon, coconut shell activated carbon and malang sand. There are several variations in the weight of activated carbon used, namely 250 grams, 500 grams, 750 grams and 1 kg. The purpose of the study was to design a water filtration device and analyze the effectiveness of variations of activated carbon adsorbents from bagasse and coconut shells. The largest decrease in zinc (Zn) content was treatment 2 with 1 kg of coconut shell activated carbon. The largest allowance value was 94.50% in the 2-replicate 2 treatment with an activated carbon composition of 1 kg coconut shell and the lowest at 89.50% in the 5-replicate 2 treatment with a composition of 250 grams of activated carbon from coconut shells and 750 grams of activated carbon from sugarcane bagasse. The average percentage of overall allowance is 92.59%.
