      Abstract

Fish production produces waste that has not been utilized optimally, causing environmental pollution. One of the proposed solutions is to use tilapia offal waste as feed for Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae. The purpose of the study was to compile a mass balance to determine the proportion of input and output in maggot biomass production and compare the influence of tilapia offal waste feed on the growth of BSF maggot biomass. The research was carried out using an experimental method, the study was carried out with three treatments with the percentage and number of variations in different types of feed. The mass balance in the production of BSF maggot is important to measure the efficiency of the conversion of feed into maggot biomass. The type and composition of feed is that different types of feed can produce varying conversion efficiency. Feed ingredients rich in protein and carbohydrates increase the growth rate of larvae. The results of weighing wet maggot biomass in the first treatment with maggot biomass of 1946 grams, the second treatment with wet maggot biomass of 2767 grams, in the third treatment with magot biomass of 2493 grams.
