      Abstract

Kemuning leaves (Murraya paniculata) are believed to have various benefits, such as reducing pain and treating diarrhea, derived from the metabolites within them. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the metabolic fingerprint of kemuning leaves extract in water, ethanol 50%, and ethanol 99% solvents using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy. The FTIR spectrum showed functional groups such as -OH, C-H, C=O, C=C, C-O, and aromatic. UV-Vis spectrum indicated that compounds in the kemuning leaf extract were only visible in the ultraviolet range (200–400 nm). Antioxidant activity was determined using the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method, which showed the highest capacity values in the water extract, followed by ethanol (50%) and 99% extracts. The data were classified using chemometric analysis, specifically principal component analysis (PCA), along with data fusion. The PCA results from the fused data had a similar pattern to the PCA results from the FTIR data, indicating that FTIR data had a more significant effect on data clustering compared to UV-Vis data.
