      Abstract

The condition of pine trees due to resin tapping is assessed based on parameters such as the number of taps, tap width, tap height, and tap depth. Age class can influence the recovery of the tapping area, as older age classes indicate that the tapping area is older. This study aims to determine the condition of pine trees due to tapping, measure the percentage of recovery of the tapping area, and analyze the effect of age class on the recovery of the tapping area. The results show that the highest percentage of taps that comply with Perhutani's pine tapping procedures for each age class is 9.71% for age class III. No tap widths were found to be in accordance with Perhutani's procedures. The highest percentage of tap depth that complies with Perhutani's procedures is 12.62% for age class III, while all tap heights conform to Perhutani's procedures. Age class affects the recovery of the tapping area. The average recovery percentages for the tapping area are 35.94%; for age class III, 56.02%; for age class IV, 57.64%; for age class V, and 63.73%; for age class VI.
