      Keragaman dan Keragaan Agronomi Kacang Bogor (Vigna subterranea) Generasi Pertama (M1) Hasil Iradiasi Sinar Gamma

      Abstract
      Kacang Bogor (Vigna subterranea) merupakan tanaman yang potensial untuk dikembangkan sebagai pangan alternatif yang mengandung karbohidrat, protein, lemak, dan serat. Perlakuan iradiasi sinar gamma tanaman kacang Bogor pada dosis yang berbeda diharapkan memperoleh bahan seleksi dengan keragaman terbaik dan diperoleh generasi pertama dengan karakter agronomi yang lebih baik. Penelitian bertujuan mengevaluasi keragaman dan keragaan agronomi kacang Bogor generasi pertama (M1) hasil iradiasi sinar gamma. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Leuwikopo IPB, Cibanteng, Bogor, Jawa Barat. Penelitian dimulai pada bulan Desember 2023 hingga Mei 2024. Bahan genetik yang digunakan adalah benih kacang Bogor lanras Sumedang warna hitam dengan perlakuan dosis iradiasi sinar gamma 0 Gy (kontrol), 25 Gy, 50 Gy, 75 Gy, 100 Gy, dan 125 Gy. Perlakuan dosis iradiasi sinar gamma berpengaruh nyata pada karakter jumlah cabang. Perlakuan iradiasi sinar gamma pada dosis berbeda menghasilkan keragaan berbeda pada karakter bentuk daun, warna daun, dan bentuk biji.
       
      Bambara groundnut (Vigna subterranea) is a potential plant to be developed as an alternative food that contains carbohydrates, protein, fat, and fiber. Gamma irradiation treatment of bambara groundnut plants at different doses is expected to obtain selection materials with the best diversity and the first generation with better agronomic characters. The study aimed to evaluate the diversity and agronomic performance of the first generation (M1) of gamma irradiated bambara groundnut. This research was conducted at Leuwikopo Experimental Farm of IPB, Cibanteng, Bogor, West Java. The research began in December 2023 until May 2024. The genetic material used was black color bambara groundnut landrace Sumedang seeds with gamma irradiation dose treatment of 0 Gy (control), 25 Gy, 50 Gy, 75 Gy, 100 Gy, and 125 Gy. The treatment of gamma-ray irradiation doses had a significant effect on the number of branches. The treatment of gamma irradiation at different doses produces different performances on the characters of leaf shape, leaf color, and seed shape.
