      Pengaruh Amelioran Fly Ash pada Tanah Gambut terhadap Fluks CO2 pada Beberapa Kadar Air

      Abstract
      Tanah gambut akan melepaskan CO2 akibat dekomposisnya. Fly ash sebagai limbah industri yang kaya akan mineral, diperkirakan dapat mempengaruhi proses dekomposisi tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menetapkan pengaruh pemberian fly ash terhadap fluks CO2 pada tanah gambut dengan variasi kadar air yang berbeda. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kimia dan Kesuburan Tanah, Departemen Ilmu Tanah dan Sumberdaya Lahan, Fakultas Pertanian, IPB dari Januari hingga April 2024. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam rancangan acak lengkap faktorial dua faktor, yaitu dosis fly ash (0%, 2,5%, 5%, dan 10% w/w) dan kadar air tanah (80%, 100%, dan 120% dari kapasitas lapang). Pengukuran fluks CO2 dilakukan pada hari ke-1, ke-8, dan ke-22 setelah pemberian perlakuan dengan Li-Cor Li-830. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian fly ash berpengaruh signifikan terhadap fluks CO2 pada minggu ke-0 (1 hari), namun pengaruh tersebut tidak signifikan pada minggu ke-1 (8 hari) dan minggu ke-3 (22 hari). Variasi kadar air tanah menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap fluks CO2 pada minggu ke-0 dan ke-1, namun tidak signifikan pada minggu ke-3. Tidak terdapat interaksi signifikan antara dosis fly ash dan kadar air tanah terhadap fluks CO2 pada semua waktu pengukuran. Peningkatan kadar air hingga 100% dari kapasitas lapang cenderung meningkatkan fluks CO2, sedangkan pemberian fly ash pada dosis tinggi cenderung meningkatkan laju dekomposisi bahan organik pada pengukuran awal (1 hari). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa fly ash memiliki potensi untuk digunakan sebagai amelioran tanah gambut.
       
      Peat soil will release CO2 due to its decomposition. Fly ash, as an industrial waste that is rich in minerals, is thought to influence the decomposition process. This research was aimed to determine the effect of giving fly ash on CO2 flux in peat soil with different water content. The research was carried out at the Soil Chemistry and Fertility Laboratory, Department of Soil Science and Land Resource, Faculty of Agriculture, IPB from January to April 2024. The research was carried out in a two-factor completely randomized design, namely fly ash dosage (0%, 2.5%, 5 %, and 10% w/w) and soil water content (80%, 100%, and 120% of field capacity). CO2 flux measurements were carried out on the 1st, 8th and 22nd days after treatment with Li-Cor Li-830. The results showed that giving fly ash had a significant effect on CO2 flux in 0th week (1 day), but this effect was not significant in 1st week (8 days) and 3rd week (22 days). Variations in soil water content showed a significant influence on CO2 fluxes in the 0th and 1st weeks but were not significant in the 3rd week. There was no significant interaction between fly ash dose and soil water content on CO2 flux at all measurement times. Increasing water content to 100% of field capacity tends to increase CO2 flux, while administering fly ash at high doses tends to increase the rate of organic matter decomposition in initial measurements (1 day). These findings indicate that fly ash has the potential to be used as a peat soil ameliorant.
