Analisis Literasi Keuangan, Sosialisasi Keuangan, dan Kepemilikan Dana Darurat Mahasiswa Penerima Bantuan KIP-Kuliah

Abstract

Emergency funds, play a crucial role in supporting the continuity of education, especially for financially disadvantage students receiving government scholarship assistence such as the Kartu Indonesia Pintar uliah (KIP-Kuliah). This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy and socialization on the ownership of emergency funds among KIP-K scholarship recipients. This research employs a quantitative approach, involving 400 randomly selected respondents who filled out online questionnaires via Google Forms. The collected data were processed using SPSS 26 and SEM PLS. The results indicate that financial literacy, which includes knowledge, attitudes, and financial behavior, significantly affects the ownership of emergency funds. Additionally, financial socialization within the family environment also plays a crucial role in shaping students' financial behavior. Family financial practices, such as providing allowances and financial responsibilities, contribute to enhancing students' understanding of money management and wise financial decision-making. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the KIP-K scholarship program at IPB University integrate financial literacy education as a mandatory part of the program for scholarship recipients. Parental involvement is also highly encouraged to improve students' financial literacy.
