      Abstract

Ketapang leaves are beneficial in fish farming due to their tannin content, which has antimicrobial and antifungal properties, and can improve water quality by lowering the pH. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of ketapang leaf extract on the production performance and business outcomes of Indian botia . This study used Indian botia fry measuring 1.5–2 cm with a stocking density of 3 fish L-1. The method used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and three replications. The treatments is K: control (without ketapang leaf extract), EK0.04: 0.04 ml L-1 ketapang leaf extract, and EK0.8: 0.8 ml L-1 ketapang leaf extract. The results showed that the EK0.8 treatment successfully increased the survival rate of Indian botia fish but did not significantly affect other production performance parameters. Additionally, the business performance analysis indicated that the EK0.8 treatment could increase total annual production, revenue, and profit. This study demonstrateds that the use of ketapang leaf extract can improve survival rates and business performance.
