      Pemanfaatan Air Buangan IPAL Domestik sebagai Air Campuran pada Pembuatan Batako

      Abstract
      Setiap industri harus mengolah air limbahnya baik air limbah hasil produksi maupun domestik yang dihasilkannya. PT Jaya Mulya Mandiri (PT JMM) merupakan salah satu industri pembuatan batako yang turut menghasilkan limbah cair domestik. PT JMM berencana untuk memanfaatkan air limbah domestik yang dihasilkannya secara lebih efektif yaitu dengan memanfaatkannya ke dalam proses produksinya, yakni batako. Namun pemilihan jenis air yang digunakan tidak bisa dilakukan secara sembarangan karena dapat mempengaruhi kualitas dari batako tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan untuk memastikan kelayakan penggunaan air buangan IPAL domestik sebagai air campuran dalam pembuatan batako, serta menguji coba pembuatan batako dengan air buangan IPAL domestik untuk melihat kualitasnya dilihat dari kuat tekan batako yang dihasilkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa air buangan IPAL domestik layak untuk dijadikan air campuran batako karena tidak mengandung bahan-bahan merusak. Kualitas batako yang dihasilkan juga memiliki kuat tekan karakteristik sebesar 139,33 kg/cm2 yang menunjukan batako termasuk kedalam kualitas mutu A sesuai SNI 03-0349-1989.
       
      Every industry must treat its wastewater both production and domestic wastewater it produces. PT Jaya Mulya Mandiri (PT JMM) is one of the brick making industries that also produces domestic wastewater. PT JMM plans to utilize the domestic wastewater it produces more effectively by utilizing it in its production process, namely brick. However, the selection of the type of water used cannot be done carelessly because it can affect the quality of the brick. Research was conducted to ascertain the feasibility of using domestic WWTP effluent water as mixed water in brick making, as well as testing the making of bricks with domestic WWTP effluent water to see its quality seen from the compressive strength of the bricks. The results showed that domestic WWTP wastewater is feasible to be used as brick mixture water because it does not contain damaging ingredients. The quality of the bricks produced also has a characteristic compressive strength of 139,33 kg / cm2 which shows the bricks are included in the quality of quality A according to SNI 03-0349-1989.
