      Pemanfaatan Limbah Sludge dan Abu Ketel Industri Pulp and Paper untuk Pembuatan Kompos sebagai Media Tanam Eucalyptus Pellita

      Abstract
      Pengomposan diidentifikasi sebagai solusi efektif untuk mengolah limbah sludge PT Tanjungenim Lestari Pulp and Paper menjadi kompos dengan menambahkan abu ketel sebagai bahan baku tambahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan proses pembuatan kompos dari limbah sludge dan abu ketel, mengidentifikasi karakteristik kompos sesuai SNI 7847:2012, serta menganalisis pertumbuhan Eucalyptus pellita sebagai bentuk pemanfaatan kompos. Pengomposan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Windrow pembalikan. Suhu akhir pengomposan di kedua reaktor masing-masing 30°C dan 29,5°C, dengan nilai pH 7. Kadar air akhir sebesar 42,03% (KC1) dan 38,79% (KC2). Rasio C/N akhir adalah 15,28 dan 16,74. Total mikroba meningkat hingga minggu ke-5 pengomposan. Kompos yang dihasilkan memenuhi SNI 7847:2012. Pengujian kompos sebagai media tanam menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan dalam parameter tinggi, jumlah daun, dan panjang akar, namun perlakuan R21 memberikan hasil terbaik.
       
      Composting has been identified as an effective solution to process the sludge waste from PT Tanjungenim Lestari Pulp and Paper by adding boiler ash as an additional raw material. This study aims to outline the composting process using sludge and boiler ash, identify the characteristics of the compost according to SNI 7847:2012, and analyze the growth of Eucalyptus pellita as a form of compost utilization. The composting method used in this study is Windrow turning. The final composting temperatures in the two reactors were 30°C and 29.5°C, with a pH of 7. The final moisture content was 42.03% (KC1) and 38.79% (KC2). The final C/N ratios were 15.28 and 16.74. Microbial counts increased until the 5th week of composting. The produced compost met SNI 7847:2012 standards. Testing the compost as a growing medium showed no significant differences in height, leaf count, and root length parameters, although the R21 treatment showed the best results.
