      Abstract
      Video dalam era digital saat ini menjadi salah satu alat promosi yang efektif, terutama untuk menarik perhatian audiens di media sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti teknik editing video sebagai media promosi di media sosial dalam video promosi pariwisata. Video promosi pariwisata “Berwisata Lebih Seru di Kota Bogor” berkolaborasi dengan Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kota Bogor. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari - Maret 2024, menggunakan data dan instrumen yang relevan dengan teknik editing video. Temuan pada penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menerapkan teknik editing video yang sederhana mampu meningkatkan engagement dan memperkuat pesan promosi. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik editing video sederhana, seperti teknik offline editing dan online editing, serta menggunakan transisi dalam online editing untuk mempertahankan perhatian audiens di media sosial. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman teknik editing video dalam promosi pariwisata dan meningkatkan efektivitas promosi melalui media sosial. Kata kunci : editing, media sosial, pariwisata, video promosi.
       
      Video in today's digital era is one of the most effective promotional tools, especially to attract audience attention on social media. This research aims to examine video editing techniques as promotional media on social media in tourism promotional videos. The tourism promotion video “Traveling More Exciting in Bogor City” collaborates with the Bogor City Tourism and Culture Office. This research was conducted in February - March 2024, using data and instruments relevant to video editing techniques. The findings of the research show that applying simple video editing techniques can increase engagement and strengthen promotional messages. The techniques used are simple video editing techniques, such as offline editing and online editing techniques, as well as using transitions in online editing to maintain audience attention on social media. This research contributes to the understanding of video editing techniques in tourism promotion and increases the effectiveness of promotion through social media.
