      Abstract
      Proyek ini mempertimbangkan pergantian alat penanganan material dari forklift ke conveyor untuk efisiensi operasional perusahaan. Analisis mendalam dilakukan terhadap proses material handling yang ada menggunakan forklift, diikuti dengan perancangan sistem conveyor yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan penanganan material. Melalui pembangunan model simulasi, kinerja forklift dan conveyor dievaluasi dalam berbagai skenario operasional. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan conveyor secara signifikan dapat mengurangi ongkos material handling (OMH) dibandingkan dengan penggunaan forklift. Analisis sensitivitas dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor kunci yang memengaruhi kinerja sistem. Implikasi praktis dari proyek ini adalah bahwa penggantian alat penanganan material mampu meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan mengurangi biaya produksi dalam jangka panjang. Penggunaan teknologi conveyor sebagai alternatif untuk forklift menawarkan solusi yang dapat diandalkan dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan mengoptimalkan proses material handling. Dengan demikian, proyek ini memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pengembangan praktik terbaik dalam manajemen material dan operasional.
       
      This project aimed to enhance operational efficiency by considering a switch from forklifts to conveyors for material handling. A thorough analysis of the existing forklift-based process was followed by the design of a conveyor system suitable for the material handling requirements. A simulation model was constructed to evaluate the performance of both forklifts and conveyors in different operational scenarios. The results demonstrated that using conveyors can significantly reduce material handling costs (OMH) compared to forklifts. Sensitivity analysis was also conducted to identify the key factors influencing system performance. The practical implication of this project is that replacing material handling equipment can improve long-term operational efficiency and decrease production costs. Utilizing conveyor technology as an alternative to forklifts provides a dependable solution for enhancing productivity and optimizing the material handling process. Therefore, this project contributes positively to the development of best practices in materials and operations management.
