Pemerintah Indonesia sejak tahun 2005 telah merencanakan swasembada
daging sapi, yaitu dengan impor tidak lebih dari 10% total konsumsi nasional. Agar
mendukung keberhasilan swasembada tersebut ada beberapa hal yang perlu
diperhatikan diantaranya pemilihan bakalan dan pakan, target kenaikan bobot
badan, dan evaluasi pemeliharaan. Tujuan pelaksanaan pengelolaan usaha
penggemukan sapi potong agar mahasiswa dapat mengasah keterampilan dan
menambah pengalaman serta relasi dalam berwirausaha peternakan sapi potong
sehingga diharapkan dapat membantu program swasembada daging sapi di
Indonesia. Pengambilan data dibagi menjadi dua metode yaitu data primer dan data
sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dengan pencatatan selama kegiatan berlangsung
sedangkan data skunder diambil dari studi pustaka seperti buku, majalah, jurnal,
dan referensi lainnya. PBBH terendah terdapat pada bulan pertama sebesar 0.94 kg
dan terus mengalami peningkatan hingga mencapai 1.32 kg. Konsumsi pakan
terendah yaitu 2.20% DM dan konsumsi tertinggi sebesar 2.63% DM. Aspek
finansial berupa BEP yaitu senilai Rp. 49.657, R/C yaitu sebesar 1.14, pendapatan
sebesar Rp.37.776.099, dan penerimaan sebesar Rp.293.265.000. Berdasarkan data
tersebut, usaha penggemukan sapi potong Lembu Sadewa ini berhasil dan layak
untuk dilanjutkan. Since 2005, the Indonesian government has planned for beef selfsufficiency, with imports not exceeding 10% of total national consumption. In order
to support the success of self-sufficiency, there are several things that need to be
considered including the selection of feeders and feed, target weight gain, and
maintenance evaluation. The purpose of implementing beef cattle fattening
business management is so that students can hone skills and gain experience and
relationships in beef cattle farming entrepreneurship so that it is expected to help
the beef self-sufficiency program in Indonesia. Data collection is divided into two
methods, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained by
recording during the activity while secondary data were taken from literature
studies such as books, magazines, journals, and other references. The lowest PBBH
was in the first month at 0.94 kg and continued to increase until it reached 1.32 kg.
The lowest feed consumption was 2.20% DM and the highest consumption was
2.63% DM. The financial aspect of the BEP is Rp 49,657, R/C is 1.14, income is
Rp 37,776,099, and revenue is Rp 293,265,000. Based on these data, the Lembu
Sadewa fattening business is successful and feasible to continue.
