      Hubungan Nilai Volume Backscattering Strength (SV) Plankton dengan Parameter Lingkungan di Pulau Menjangan, Bali Barat

      Abstract
      Plankton merupakan organisme kecil yang hidup melayang pada kolom perairan. Plankton dibagi menjadi fitoplankton dan zooplankton, plankton dijadikan sebuah indikator untuk melihat kondisi perairan. Peran plankton menjadi salah satu faktor penting untuk diketahui, salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan yaitu metode hidroakustik, dengan metode akustik maka dapat diketahui besar nilai hambur balik plankton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan memetakan sebaran nilai SV plankton yang terdapat di Pulau Menjangan, Bali Barat dengan metode hidroakustik serta mengkaji hubungan nilai SV plankton dengan parameter lingkungan di perairan Pulau Menjangan, Bali Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat instrumen SIMRAD EK-15 Data akustik berupa tampilan echogram kemudian diolah menggunakan software Echoview dengan menggunakan threshold -70 dB sampai -100 dB. Data echogram yang diperoleh dari software echoview diesktrak dalam bentuk data excel. Hasil nilai plankton dilakukan pengolahan secara horizontal dan vertikal. Nilai SV plankton secara horizontal yang dominan yaitu pada rentang -82,15 dB hingga -79,15. Kelimpahan nilai SV plankton tergolong tinggi sedangkan nilai SV plankton secara vertikal nilai SV terbesar dapat ditemukan pada kedalaman 35 m dengan nilai SV sebesar -77,126 dB. Hubungan antara SV plankton dengan parameter lingkungan dianalisis menggunakan metode regresi polinomial.
       
      Plankton, which refer to tiny organisms that float in bodies of water, can be classified into two main categories: phytoplankton and zooplankton. These organisms serve as important indicators for assessing water conditions. Understanding the role of plankton is of utmost importance, and one method used to study them is the hydroacoustic method. This particular method involves the use of acoustic technology to determine the backscatter value of plankton. The primary objective of this research is to analyze and map the distribution of plankton backscatter values (SV) on Menjangan Island, located in West Bali, using the hydroacoustic method. Furthermore, the study aims to investigate the relationship between plankton backscatter values and various environmental parameters in the waters surrounding Menjangan Island, West Bali. To conduct this research, the SIMRAD EK-15 instrument is employed. The acoustic data is visualized as an echogram and processed using Echoview software. During processing, a variable threshold ranging from -70 dB to -100 dB is applied. The resulting echogram data is then extracted as Excel data. The plankton backscatter values are analyzed both horizontally and vertically. The predominant horizontal plankton backscatter values range from -82.15 dB to -79.15 dB, indicating a relatively high abundance of plankton. The highest vertical backscatter value for plankton, -77.126 dB, is found at a depth of 35 meters. The relationship between plankton backscatter values and the environmental parameters is analyzed using the polynomial regression method.
