      Profil Asam Amino Maggot Black Soldier Fly (BSF) Hasil Biokonversi Ekskreta Puyuh

      Abstract
      Penumpukan limbah kotoran peternakan puyuh menjadi permasalahan yang berpotensi pencemaran lingkungan sehingga mengganggu kesehatan penduduk di area peternakan dan produktivitas ternak. Larva Black Soldier Fly (BSF) dinilai dapat menjadi solusi sebagai agen biokonversi bagi kotoran puyuh yang dapat menghasilkan pupuk organik. Selain itu, larva BSF juga memiliki kandungan nutrisi yang baik sebagai pakan ternak yaitu bahan sumber protein untuk ransum unggas. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua perlakuan yaitu ekskreta puyuh tanpa fermentasi (P0) dan ekskreta puyuh fermentasi (P1). Hasil profil asam amino maggot BSF segar dan tepung maggot BSF menunjukkan bahwa kandungan asam amino baik asam amino essensial maupun non essensial pada tepung maggot BSF lebih tinggi dibandingkan maggot BSF segar. Tepung maggot P0 dan P1 memiliki kandungan protein yang cukup tinggi dan berpotensi untuk dijadikan pakan campuran karena skor kimia total asam amino essensial pada tepung maggot P0 dan P1 lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan Meat Bone Meal (MBM). Namun, skor kimia pada tepung maggot BSF P0 dan P1 lebih kecil dari maggot dengan media tumbuh sampah organik dan sisa makanan serta tepung ikan. Profil asam amino pada biokonversi ekskreta puyuh ini menghasilkan biomassa maggot BSF yang dapat meningkatkan nilai kegunaan ekskreta dari limbah peternakan menjadi media tumbuh maggot BSF.
       
      The accumulation of waste from quail farms is a significant issue that could lead to environmental pollution, impacting the health of people in livestock areas and the productivity of livestock. Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae are being explored as a solution to convert quail droppings into organic fertilizer. Additionally, BSF larvae are a valuable source of nutrition for animals, particularly as a protein source for poultry feed. This study compared two treatments: unfermented quail excreta (P0) and fermented quail excreta (P1). The results revealed that the amino acid content of BSF maggot flour, from both P0 and P1, is higher than that of fresh BSF maggots, making it suitable for use in mixed feed. The protein content of P0 and P1 maggot flour is also quite high, with a total chemical score of essential amino acids higher than that of Meat Bone Meal (MBM). However, compared to maggots grown in organic waste, food waste, and fish meal, the chemical scores for BSF P0 and P1 maggot flour were lower. The amino acid profile resulting from the conversion of quail excreta into BSF maggot biomass demonstrates the potential to enhance the value of livestock waste as a medium for BSF maggots.
