      Strategi Komunikasi BMKG dalam Penyebaran Informasi Klimatologi

      Abstract
      Klimatologi merupakan ilmu yang mempelajari tentang iklim, dan sering disebut ilmu iklim. Sebagai salah satu lembaga pemerintah, BMKG mempunyai tugas dan fungsi untuk menyampaikan informasi seputar meteorologi, klimatologi, dan geofisika. Penyajian informasi iklim yang tepat dan akurat harus menjadi komitmen BMKG. Akurasi prakiraan iklim yang tepat dapat dijadikan fondasi dalam berbagai kebijakan tepat sasaran di level daerah maupun nasional yang telah diterapkah oleh banyak sektor, seperti pertanian, sumber daya air, kehutanan, kesehatan, kebencanaan, dan yang lainnya. BMKG dapat menyebarkan berbagai informasi seperti prakiraan, informasi mengenai iklim dan kualitas udara terkini di Indonesia agar masyarakat sadar dan awas terhadap keadaan Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang dilakukan untuk memotret dan mengeksplorasi situasi yang akan diteliti. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder yang diperoleh dari proses wawancara. Strategi komunikasi yang digunakan di BMKG memiliki lima langkah, yaitu mengenal khalayak, menyusun pesan, menentukan metode, seleksi dan penggunaan media, serta hambatan dalam komunikasi.
       
      Climatology is a science that studies climate and the patterns of atmosphere and weather over time. BMKG is one of the state institutes specializing in climatology, meteorology, and geophysics, and is responsible for distributing information regarding meteorology, climatology, and geophysics. One of BMKG's commitments is presenting the correct information about climate to the people and stakeholders. Providing that information means the information used as a foundation regarding decisions and policies in the agricultural and forestry fields. Not only that but the information also is used as a move to prevent climate change nowadays has increased drastically. A qualitative descriptive method is used in this research that provides primary and secondary data. The data was obtained by doing an in-depth interview. The communication strategy that BMKG uses consists of five steps. The first step is choosing the audience and then constructing the message. After that, choosing a method, followed by selecting the media; the last step is the noise of communication.
