      Abstract
      Untuk mengevaluasi kapasitas air tanah digunakan model neraca air untuk menghitung kebutuhan air tanaman berdasarkan nilai surplus dan defisit. Penelitian ini menganalisis neraca air dengan model Thornwaite and Mather di Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir selama tahun 1981-2022 dengan menggunakan data reanalysis NASA Power. Data yang digunakan berupa data curah hujan bulanan untuk menghitung Evapotranspirasi Potensial (ETP). Analisis yang dilakukan adalah analisis ketersediaan air tanah, defisit dan surplus serta persentase air tersedia bagi tanaman (ATS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lahan pertanian pada umumnya masih berada pada kondisi yang optimal sepanjang tahun. Selama terjadinya El Niño yaitu pada tahun 1982, 1997 dan 2015 terjadi kekeringan yang mengakibatkan defisit air. Defisit tersebut bervariasi dari 4-5 bulan pada periode Juni- Oktober yang tergantung pada nilai curah hujan. Sebaliknya pada periode La Niña surplus air sepanjang tahun hingga memperpendek periode musim kemarau seperti tahun 2010.
       
      To evaluate soil water capacity, a water balance model is used to calculate crop water requirements based on surplus and deficit values. This study analyzed the water balance with the Thornwaite and Mather model in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency during 1981-2022 using NASA Power reanalysis data. The data used is monthly rainfall data to calculate Evapotranspiration Potential (ETP). The analysis carried out is the analysis of groundwater availability, deficit and surplus and the percentage of water available for plants (ATS). The results showed that agricultural land is generally still in an optimal condition throughout the year. During the occurrence of El Niño, namely in 1982, 1997 and 2015 there were droughts that resulted in water deficits. The deficit varied from 4-5 months in the June-October period depending on the value of rainfall. On the other hand, during La Niña period, water surpluses were observed throughout the year, shortening the dry season period such as in 2010.
