      Abstract

The Effect of Goat Manure Fertilizer on The Growth and Yield of Kesum Plants (Persicaria odorata). Supervised by Sandra Arifin and Ahmad Junaedi. Vietnamese mint is a terna plant used by the community for seasoning and medicine. Increasing the production of Persicaria odorata must be supported by optimum cultivation, one of which is giving the right dose of manure. This research aims to study the effect of goat manure doses on the growth and yield of kesum plants. The research was conducted from February to April 2024 at Gunung Batu, West Bogor, West Java (6°35'36 "S 106°46'21 "E) with an altitude of ± 231 meters above sea level. The experimental design used was a single-factor randomized group (RAK) with 3 replications. The fertilizer dose treatment consisted of 5 levels, namely 0, 10, 20, 30, and 40 g plant-1 so there were 15 experimental units. The results showed that the dose treatment of goat manure significantly affected plant growth and yield. The dose of goat manure organic fertilizer of 40 g plant-1 had the best effect in increasing kesum production. The optimum dose was not obtained because the response curve between 0–40 g plant-1 doses with all parameters was still linear. Further research with goat manure doses is needed to get the optimum dose.
