      Potensi Simpanan Karbon Tanah di Hutan Tanaman Monokultur dan Polikultur Pusat Perbenihan dan Persemaian Rumpin

      Abstract
      Tanah memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam dinamika karbon. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghitung potensi simpanan karbon tanah pada kedalaman 20 cm di hutan tanaman sejenis (monokultur) dan hutan tanaman campuran (polikultur) Pusat Perbenihan dan Persemaian Rumpin, Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan membuat petak contoh berukuran 20 x 20 m sebanyak 16 plot untuk masing-masing lokasi. Analisis contoh tanah dilakukan di Laboratorium Tanah Pusat Perbenihan dan Persemaian Rumpin. Simpanan karbon tanah dipengaruhi oleh tiga variabel utama yang saling terikat yaitu C-organik, bobot isi tanah, dan kedalaman tanah. Total simpanan karbon tanah di hutan tanaman sejenis (monokultur) sebesar 7.365,24 ton/ha sedangkan total simpanan karbon tanah di hutan tanaman campuran (polikultur) sebesar 8.593,6 ton/ha. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi nilai kerapatan tegakan maka simpanan karbon tanah akan semakin tinggi.
       
      Soil has a very important role in carbon dynamics. This study aims to calculate the potential for soil carbon storage at a depth of 20 cm in similar plantation forests (monocultures) and mixed plantations (polycultures) Rumpin Seed Source and Nursery Center, Bogor Regency, West Java. The study was conducted by making sample plots measuring 20 x 20 m as many as 16 plots for each location. Analysis of soil samples was carried out at the Rumpin Seed Source and Nursery Center Soil Laboratory. Soil carbon storage is influenced by three main variables that are interlocked, namely C-organic, bulkdensity, and soil depth. Total soil carbon storage in monoculture plantations amounted to 7.365,24 ton/ha while total soil carbon storage in mixed plantation forests (polyculture) amounted to 8.593,6 ton/ha. The results of the correlation test show that the higher the stand density value, the higher the soil carbon storage.
