Keragaan Teknis Atraktor Cumi-cumi di Perairan Kabupaten Lombok Timur
Abstract
Penangkapan cumi-cumi di Kabupaten Lombok Timur saat ini mengalami
penurunan hasil tangkapan dikarenakan jumlah armada yang meningkat dalam
waktu cepat. Perlu adanya pengayaan terhadap sumberdaya cumi-cumi dengan
diadakannya atraktor cumi-cumi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan unit
penangkapan cumi-cumi, mendeskripsikan keragaan teknis atraktor cumi-cumi
meliputi konstruksi dan spesifikasinya dan mengobservasi keragaan cumi-cumi
berdasarkan kondisi lingkungan dan hasil tangkapan cumi-cumi di sekitar atraktor
pada Perairan Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Analisis dilakukan dengan
mendeskripsikan perikanan cumi-cumi, keragaan teknis atraktor cumi-cumi, dan
hasil observasi kondisi atraktor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kegiatan
penangkapan cumi-cumi di Kabupaten Lombok Timur menggunakan alat tangkap
payang dan pancing cumi. Atraktor cumi-cumi jenis drum memiliki ukuran lebih
kecil dan tidak memiliki baut seperti jenis fiberglass. Komponen yang dipasang
kedua jenis atraktor diantaranya tali rami dan besi penyangga. Arus perairan
menyebabkan kerusakan pada badan atraktor dan besi penyangga. Hasil
tangkapan cumi-cumi di sekitar atraktor lebih besar 2 kali lipat dibandingkan hasil
tangkapan yang berada di luar area atraktor. Berdasarkan hasil tangkapan yang
diperoleh selama 4 minggu, total hasil tangkapan di sekitar atraktor mencapai 34,1
kg, sementara total hasil tangkapan di luar area atraktor mencapai 16,3 kg. Squid fishing in East Lombok Regency is currently over exploited due to
the rapid increase in the number of fleets. It is necessary to enrich the squid
resources with squid attractors. The objectives of this study were to describe the
squid fishing unit, describe the technical performance of the squid attractor
including its construction and specifications and observe the squid behavior based
on environmental conditions and squid catches around the attractor in the waters
of East Lombok Regency. Analysis was conducted by describing the squid fishery,
technical performance of the squid attractor, and observation of the attractor
condition. The results showed that squid fishing activities in East Lombok
Regency use payang, squid fishing rod, and tonda fishing rod. Drum-type squid
attractors have a smaller size and do not have bolts like fiberglass types.
Components installed in both types of attractors include hemp rope and iron
supports. Water currents cause damage to attractor body and supporting iron. The
catch of squid around attractor is 2 times greater than the catch outside the
attractor area. based on the catch obtained for 4 weeks, the total catch around the
attractor reached 34.1 Kg, while total catch outside the attractor area reached 16.3
Kg.
