      Pendugaan Potensi Tegakan Berdasarkan Plot Sampling dan Tree Sampling di Jasinga Silviculture Teaching Industry (JSTI)

      Abstract
      Informasi awal mengenai potensi hutan menjadi salah satu aspek penting dalam menyusun rencana pengelolaan hutan lestari. Hutan penelitian JSTI kompleksitasnya masih dalam tahap pengembangan sehingga diperlukan data awal terkait potensi tegakan hutan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menduga potensi tegakan menggunakan metode stratified systematic sampling with random start dengan unit contoh berupa plot sampling (lingkaran berukuran 0.05 ha) dan tree sampling dengan jumlah pohon 6, 7, 8, 9, dan 10 pohon sekaligus membandingkan tingkat ketelitian dan efisiensi dari bentuk unit contoh tersebut serta perlakuan silvikultur yang dapat diterapkan. Kawasan hutan JSTI dibagi menjadi tiga kelas tutupan vegetasi, yaitu vegetasi rapat, sedang, dan jarang. Pengukuran data di lapangan dilakukan dengan identifikasi spesies pohon, pengukuran diameter setinggi dada (dbh), tinggi total (tt), tinggi bebas cabang (tbc), jarak pohon terjauh, dan waktu kerja yang akan dianalisis dan dilakukan uji lanjut. 10-tree sampling memiliki tingkat ketelitian dan efisiensi yang lebih baik dibandingkan lingkaran dalam menduga potensi volume total, volume komersil, dan LBDS tegakan. Hal ini dikarenakan plot tree sampling memiliki nilai sampling error yang lebih rendah dan efisiensi relatif yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan lingkaran. Perlakuan silvikultur pada tegakan rapat dilakukan dengan penjarangan sedangkan pada tegakan sedang dan jarang dilakukan dengan pengayaan jenis.
       
      Preliminary information regarding forest potential is an important aspect in developing a sustainable forest management plan. The complexity of the JSTI research forest is still in the development stage, so preliminary data is needed regarding the potential of the forest stand. This study aims to estimate the potential of stands using stratified systematic sampling with random start with sample units in the form of plot sampling (circles measuring 0.05 ha) and tree sampling with 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 trees as well as comparing the level of accuracy and efficiency from the form of the sample unit and the silvicultural treatment that can be applied. The JSTI forest area is divided into three classes of vegetation cover, namely dense, medium, and sparse vegetation. Data measurement in the field was carried out by identifying tree species, measuring diameter at breast height (dbh), total height (tt), branch-free height (tbc), farthest tree distance, and working time which will be analyzed and further tested. 10-tree sampling have a better level of accuracy and efficiency than circular plot in estimating potential total volume, commercial volume, and stand LBDS. It is caused tree sampling have lower sampling error values and higher relative efficiency. Silvicultural treatment in dense stands was carried out by thinning, while in medium and rare stands it was carried out by species enrichment.
