Evaluasi Program Pengelolaan Sampah Berbasis Masyarakat

Abstract

Handling of waste that are currently in Indonesia are to use the conventional system. The system cannot solve the problem with the optimal waste. Community-based waste management is one way to overcome problems of waste that occurs in Indonesia. One example of waste management community-based integrated waste management, namely the Gerakan Peduli Lingkungan (GPL) of Citizens Perumahan Pondok Pekayon Indah, Bekasi Selatan. Some waste management program that has been done by the environmental movement concerned, among other process of sorting waste, household composting of scale and area, planting and cultivation of seedlings, and the biopori hole. GPL is the program provides many benefits to the citizens and the environment, but will be required in the implementation of good cooperation between stakeholders such as citizens, the government and the private sector. GPL waste management program that has been running for six years to provide benefits that can be felt directly by the changes in the environment, especially PPI process of sorting waste, composting, planting and cultivation of seedlings although not all residents participate in this program. However, based on the evaluation based on the vision and mission of the GPL there is a congruence between the objectives will be achieved with the results obtained.
