      Pendugaan Simpanan Karbon Tegakan Mahoni (Swietenia macrophylla) di Atas Permukaan Tanah pada Petak 30 BKPH Pandeglang

      Abstract
      BKPH Pandeglang merupakan salah satu dari 8 Bagian Kesatuan Pemangkuan Hutan (BKPH) yang berada di KPH Banten. Nilai karbon hutan yang didapat dari setiap daerah umumnya bebeda-beda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung potensi simpanan karbon di atas permukaan tanah pada Petak 30 BKPH Pandeglang serta menganalisis kesesuaian lingkungan tumbuh terhadap pertumbuhan tegakan mahoni. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata biomassa bagian atas tegakan mahoni di Petak 30 BKPH Pandeglang sebesar 335,18 ton/ha sehingga nilai simpanan karbon yang didapat sebesar 157,53 ton/ha. Nilai biomassa dan karbon dipengaruhi oleh kerapatan vegetasi dan juga kondisi lingkungan dari tempat tumbuhnya. Kondisi lingkungan penelitian memiliki kesesuaian untuk tempat tumbuh mahoni yaitu dengan suhu berkisar antara 21-24˚C, curah hujan 1780 mm/tahun dan ketinggian tempat 1400 mdpl. Kondisi lingkungan yang cocok sebagai tempat tumbuh mahoni ini yang menjadi salah satu penyebab nilai biomassa dan simpanan karbon yang didapatkan tinggi.
       
      BKPH Pandeglang is one of 8 Forest Management Units (BKPH) located in KPH Banten. Forest carbon values obtained from each region are generally different. The study aimed to calculate the carbon storage potential of the upper part of mahogany stands in Plot 30 BKPH Pandeglang and analyze the suitability of the growing environment for the growth of mahogany stands. The results showed that the average value of biomass at the top of mahogany stands in Plot 30 BKPH Pandeglang was 335.18 tons/ha so that the carbon storage value obtained was 157.53 tons/ha. The value of biomass and carbon is influenced by the density of vegetation and also the environmental conditions of the place where it grows. The environmental conditions of the study are suitable for growing mahogany with an around temperature of 21-24˚C, rainfall of 1780 mm/year and an altitude of 1400 meters above sea level. This suitable environmental condition as a place to grow mahogany is one of the causes of the high biomass and carbon storage values obtained.
