      Abstract

The proportion of working capital financing for Islamic Commercial Banks (BUS) and Islamic Business Units (UUS) for the MSME sector tends to decrease every year and the worst conditions will occur in 2020. This study aims to analyze internal and external factors that influence the proportion of working capital financing by BUS and UUS for the MSME sector in Indonesia using monthly data from June 2017 to November 2022. Based on the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method, the results show that the proportion of working capital financing responds positively to DPK, ROA, FDR, and GDP shocks, while NPF, BOPO, inflation, and BI Rate shocks are responded negatively. ROA from internal factors and GDP from external factors make a dominant contribution in explaining the diversity of the proportion of working capital financing at BUS and UUS for the MSME sector in Indonesia.
