Hubungan Peran Ganda Dengan Pengembangan Karier Wanita
Abstract
The purposes of this research were to find out the relations of double role with women carreer development, and the influence of the external endorsement and gender ideology with women carreer development. Choosen respondent as sample in this research were married women which has settle job and has a structural function or carreer categories, and live in Menteng district administered by the lurah, Bogor Barat, Bogor, West Java Province. The research method was quantitative research and sampling method was simple random sampling. The result of the research was indicate if there is no significant relation between gender ideology and double role responsibility because gender ideology which have been low only have same level at women which able to have a job outside their home. In another side, there were still have important essence in gender ideology which result in God’s will of women didn’t change, there were still responsibility in domestic job until double role responsibility were still have them. Indirectly, carreer were determined by gender ideology and external endorsement. At the same time, responsibility of double role has significant relation with conflict of double role then a women can improve her carreer by decreasing conflict of double role of her. Conflict of double role can be decreased by improve external endorsement and decrease gender idelogy.
