Faktor-faktor yang Memengaruhi Food Waste Behavior pada Konsumen Generasi Z Muslim di Kota Padang
Abstract
Sebagai negara muslim, Indonesia menjadi penyumbang sampah sisa makanan (food waste) terbanyak kedua di dunia. Sumatera Barat sebagai salah salah satu provinsi di Indonesia yang memiliki semboyan “Adat Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah”, dan Kota Padang yang merupakan ibu kota nya merupakan penyumbang sampah sisa makanan yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik responden dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi perilaku food waste behavior pada Generasi Z muslim di Kota Padang. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dan SEM-PLS dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 210 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel attitude, perceived behavior control dan religious norm memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap intention not to food waste, lalu variabel habit memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap food waste behavior. Variabel lainnya seperti subjective norm, lack of concern, dan intention not to food waste tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan. Oleh karena itu, pemerintahan setempat diharapkan dapat memberikan edukasi terkait dampak yang ditimbulkan dari perilaku membuang makanan. As a muslim country, Indonesia is the second largest contributor of food waste in the world. West Sumatra as one of the provinces in Indonesia which has the motto "Basandi Syarak Adat, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah", and the city of Padang which is the capital city is a high contributor of food waste. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of respondents and the factors that influence food waste behavior in Generation Z Muslims in Padang City. In this study using descriptive analysis methods and SEM-PLS with a total sample of 210 respondents. The results showed that the variable attitude, perceived behavior control and religious norms had a significant effect on the intention not to food waste, then the habit variable had a significant effect on food waste behavior. Other variables such as subjective norms, lack of concern, and intention not to waste food have no significant effect. Therefore, the local government is expected to be able to provide education regarding the impacts arising from the behavior of wasting food.
