      Persentase Bobot Karkas dan Potongan Komersial Ayam Jantan Kandidat Galur IPB-D2 Generasi Ketiga Umur 10 Sampai 12 Minggu

      Abstract
      Ayam IPB-D1 merupakan rumpun ayam lokal baru yang berhasil dikembangkan oleh Institut Pertanian Bogor. Dilakukan seleksi ayam IPB-D1 berdasarkan konsentrasi IgY dan titer antibodi ND untuk mendapatkan ayam kandidat galur IPB-D2. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji persentase bobot karkas dan potongan komersial ayam jantan kandidat galur IPB-D2 G3. Ayam yang digunakan berjumlah 24 ekor ayam jantan kandidat galur IPB-D2. Peubah yang diamati adalah persentase bobot karkas dan potongan komersial. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji deskriptif dan di uji t dengan ayam jantan kandidat galur IPB-D3 G1 dan ayam jantan IPB-D1 Sukabumi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase karkas ayam jantan kandidat galur IPB-D2 G3 meningkat. Ayam jantan kandidat galur IPB-D2 G3 memiliki bobot serta persentase karkas dan potongan komersial lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan ayam jantan IPB-D1 Sukabumi. Ayam jantan kandidat galur IPB-D2 G3 memiliki kualitas karkas yang baik.
       
      IPB-D1 chicken is a new local chicken breed successfully developed by Bogor Agricultural University. IPB-D1 chickens were selected based on IgY concentration and ND antibody titer to obtain IPB-D2 candidate strains. This study aimed to assess the percentage of carcass weight and commercial cuts of IPB-D2 G3 candidate roosters. The chickens used amounted to 24 roosters of IPB D2 candidate strains. The observed variables were the percentage of carcass weight and commercial cuts. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive test and t-test with IPB-D3 G1 and IPB-D1 Sukabumi candidate roosters. The results showed that the carcass percentage of IPB-D2 G3 candidate roosters increased. IPB-D2 G3 candidate roosters had higher carcass weight and percentage and commercial cuts compared to IPB-D1 Sukabumi roosters. IPB-D2 G3 candidate roosters had good carcass quality.
