      Abstract

Propagul study is the first step to obtain basic data that is used as a guideline in the management of mangrove ecosystems related to natural regeneration. The aim of this study is to estimate the potency of its propagules quantitatively and qualitatively to support efforts to manage and conserve mangrove ecosystems. Research conducted from October November 2022, in the mangrove area owned by PT Agung Menjangan Mas, Pejarakan Village, Bali. The results showed that the composition of the mangroves found at the study site consisted of six types, namely Bruguierra gymnorrhiza, Ceriops tagal, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora Stylosa, and Sonneratia Alba. Mangrove tree vegetation shows that the mangrove area is dominated by species R. apiculata and R. mucoranata with Importance Value Index (INP) of 104.41% and 101.12%. Propagules type R. apiculata and R. mucronata fall into the category of very potential, B. gymnorrhiza and C. tagal potential, R. stylosa and S.alba no potential. In general, the mangrove community of Pejarakan Village has potential propagules for natural regeneration of mangroves, especially species R. mucronata and R. apiculata while propagules R. stylosa and S.alba not optimal in the regeneration process.
