      Abstract
      Salah satu produk olahan pangan yang menggunakan bahan lokal yaitu talas. Talas merupakan hasil pertanian tumbuhan penghasil umbi-umbian yang terkenal di kota Bogor. Pelaku usaha dapat memanfaatkan berbagai cara melalui media massa secara cetak, elektronik, maupun siber untuk mengembangkan usahanya dalam membangun perekonomian. Lapis talas Arasari menggunakan instagram untuk kegiatan promosi karena merupakan salah satu media sosial terpopuler di Indonesia. Konsep AIDA digunakan untuk melihat efektivitas media sosial instagram sebagai media promosi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis keefektifan instagram sebagai media promosi produk pangan lokal lapis talas Arasari dan hubungannya dengan karakteristik konsumen, karakteristik pesan, dan keterdedahan akun. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner untuk data kuantitatif dengan jumlah 30 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan instagram cukup efektif dalam menarik attention, interest, desire, dan action responden dalam melakukan pembelian lapis talas Arasari dan memiliki hubungan yang signifikan di beberapa indikator karakteristik konsumen, karakteristik pesan, dan keterdedahan akun.
       
      One of the processed food products that use local ingredients is taro. Taro is a well-known root crop in the city of Bogor. Business actors can utilize various ways through mass media in print, electronic, and cyber to develop their business in building the economy. Lapis talas Arasari uses Instagram for promotional activities because it is one of the most popular social media in Indonesia. The AIDA concept is used to see the effectiveness of Instagram as a promotional media. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of Instagram as a promotional media for local food products of Lapis Talas Arasari and its relationship with consumer characteristics, message characteristics, and account discoverability. The method used in this research is a survey method with data collection techniques through questionnaires for quantitative data with 30 respondents. The results showed that Instagram is quite effective in attracting respondents' attention, interest, desire, and action in purchasing Arasari taro sandwiches and has a significant relationship in several indicators of consumer characteristics, message characteristics, and account discoverability.
