      Analisis Kinerja Komunikasi LoRa dengan Modul RFM95W untuk Pemantauan Lingkungan Kandang Ayam

      Abstract
      IoT technology can make it easier for farmers to monitor the chicken coop from afar. One of the technologies is LoRa which is suitable for long-distance communication and is efficient in power usage. This study aims to implement and test the performance of IoT using LoRa with the RFM95W module in a chicken coop environment. Performance observed in the form of distance, signal strength, and success of data transmission. The tests carried out are functional testing and performance testing with 3 and 5 dBi antennas. The results of functional testing successfully send data to Thingspeak. Performance testing with a 3 dBi antenna, the results were less consistent and the distance was lower, even though had changed from SF7 to SF10. Meanwhile, performance experiments with the 5 dBi antenna on the SF7 obtained results for scenarios without obstructions that could reach 400 m with an error rate of 15% and reached 80 m for scenarios with obstacles with an error rate of 5%.
       
      Teknologi IoT dapat mempermudah peternak dalam memantau kandang ayam dari jauh. Salah satu teknologinya adalah LoRa yang cocok untuk komunikasi jarak jauh serta hemat dalam penggunaan daya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan dan menguji kinerja IoT menggunakan LoRa dengan modul RFM95W pada lingkungan kandang ayam. Kinerja yang diamati berupa jarak, kekuatan sinyal, dan keberhasilan transmisi data. Pengujian yang dilakukan adalah pengujian fungsional dan pengujian kinerja dengan antena 3 dan 5 dBi. Hasil pengujian fungsional berhasil mengirimkan data ke Thingspeak. Pengujian kinerja dengan antena 3 dBi mendapatkan hasil yang kurang konsisten dan jarak yang rendah meskipun sudah mengubah SF7 ke SF10. Sementara, percobaan kinerja dengan antena 5 dBi pada SF7 mendapakan hasil yang lebih baik, yaitu untuk skenario tanpa halangan dapat mencapai 400 m dengan error rate 15% dan mencapai 80 m untuk skenario dengan halangan dengan error rate 5%.
