      Abstract
      Etnobotani merupakan ilmu yang mempelajari dan menjelaskan tentang pemanfaatan dan pengelolaan tumbuhan secara tradisional oleh masyarakat terhadap lingkungan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis potensi pemanfaatan jenis tumbuhan dan satwa oleh masyarakat serta mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk pemanfaatan tumbuhan dan satwa berdasarkan kearifan lokal oleh masyarakat di Kabupaten Lingga Utara. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2022 di Desa Sungai Besar, Desa Resun dan Desa Limbung. Masyarakat Kecamatan Lingga Utara sebanyak 23,53% berprofesi nelayan, wilayah yang berada di pulau dan dikelilingi lautan menjadikan potensi sumber daya laut sebagai mata pencaharian utama. Padi sebagai sumber karbohidrat utama dan sagu digunakan sebagai bahan baku pembuatan berbagai makanan. Ditemukan pemanfaatan tumbuhan dan hewan yang telah dilakukan secara turun temurun baik yang diperoleh dari alam maupun hasil budidaya, yaitu sebanyak 238 jenis tumbuhan dari 82 famili dan sebanyak 80 jenis hewan yang ditemukan dan dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat.
       
      Ethnobotany is a science that studies and explains the traditional use and management of plants by the community towards the surrounding environment. This study aims to identify and analyze the potential use of plant and animal species by the community and identify and describe the forms of plant and animal use based on local wisdom by the community in North Lingga Regency. This research was conducted in August 2022 in Sungai Besar Village, Resun Village and Limbung Village. As many as 23.53% of the people of North Lingga District work as fishermen, the area located on the island and surrounded by the sea makes the potential of marine resources the main livelihood. Rice is the main source of carbohydrates and sago is used as raw material for making various foods. It was found that the use of plants and animals has been carried out for generations both obtained from nature and cultivation, namely 238 species of plants from 82 families and 80 species of animals found and utilized by the community.
