      Abstract
      Jabon merah (Neolamarckia macrophylla (Roxb.) Bosser) merupakan salah satu jenis pohon cepat tumbuh yang banyak ditanam untuk pembangunan hutan tanaman, hutan rakyat, maupun rehabilitasi hutan dan lahan. Ketersediaan benih berkualitas sangat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan adaptasi, sehingga keberhasilan penanaman dapat ditingkatkan melalui serangkaian program pemuliaan jabon merah yang masih sedikit dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keragaman pertumbuhan dan parameter genetik uji keturunan jabon merah di KHDTK Parung Panjang, Bogor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor famili (genetik) berpengaruh nyata terhadap diameter, tinggi, dan volume pohon jabon merah. Nilai heritabilitas tingkat famili termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan rentang 0,67-0,76. Korelasi fenotipe menunjukkan nilai positif antar sifat pertumbuhan, kecuali pada penetrasi pilodyn. Persentase seleksi yang semakin ketat akan menyebabkan nilai kemajuan genetik dan perolehan genetik semakin tinggi namun ukuran populasi dan jumlah individunya akan semakin kecil.
       
      Red jabon (Neolamarckia macrophylla (Roxb.) Bosser) is a fast-growing tree species that is widely planted for the development of plantation forests, community forests, as well as forest and land rehabilitation. The availability of quality seeds is urgently needed to increase productivity and adaptation, so that planting success can be increased through a series of breeding programs that is still limited. This study aims to analyze the growth diversity and genetic parameters of red jabon progeny test at the KHDTK Parung Panjang, Bogor. The results of the research showed that the family factor (genetic) ha a significant effect on the growth such as diameter, height, and volume of red jabon trees. The heritability value at the family level is included in the high category with a range of 0,67-0,76. Phenotypic correlations showed positive values between growth traits, except for pilodyn penetration. The greater the percentage of selection, the higher the value of genetic progress and genetic gain, but the smaller the population size and number of trees.
