      Tingkat Keberhasilan Fixed Time Artificial Insemination pada Domba Menggunakan Semen Beku oleh Peternak.

      Abstract
      Fixed Time Artificial Insemination merupakan salah satu cara untuk mengembangbiakkan domba yang cukup ekonomis tanpa perlu melakukan deteksi estrus. Seekor domba mengalami kebuntingan selama 143-151 hari atau 5 bulan sehingga dalam satu tahun seekor domba bisa melahirkan kurang lebih empat anak. Domba umumnya memiliki tingkat penjualan yang tinggi pada saat hari raya Idul Adha dan akikah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat keterampilan inseminator dalam hal ini adalah peternak dengan penggunaan Fixed Time Artificial Insemination semen beku pada domba. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dua kali injeksi PGF2α, inseminasi, serta pelaksanaan ultrasonografi setelah 40 hari. Hasil ultrasonografi dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan rumus Pregnancy Rate (PR) dan menggunakan hasil wawancara ke peternak untuk detail teknis. Hasil PR pada Mahir Farm pada perlakuan inseminasi buatan semen beku menunjukkan angka sebesar 2,5%. Nilai PR dipengaruhi oleh kualitas semen, kecakapan inseminator, deteksi berahi, penyimpanan semen beku, thawing, deposisi semen, serta dosis semen. Kebanyakan faktor belum sesuai dengan standar yang ada sehingga menyebabkan pregnancy rate yang rendah.
       
      Fixed Time Artificial Insemination (FTAI) is a way to breed sheep that is quite economical without the need for estrous detection. Pregnant duration for an ewe is about 143-151 days or 5 months, so that in one year an ewe can give birth to approximately four lambs. Sheep generally have a high level of sales during Eid al-Adha and Aqiqah. This study aims to determine the skill level of inseminators which is the breeder using Fixed Time Artificial Insemination of frozen semen in ewes. This study was conducted with two injections of PGF2α, insemination, and ultrasonography after 40 days. Ultrasound results were analyzed descriptively using the Pregnancy Rate (PR) formula and using the results of interviews with breeders for technical details. Result of PR on Mahir Farm in the frozen semen FTAI treatment showed a figure of 2,5%. The PR value is influenced by semen quality, inseminator performance, heat detection, frozen semen storage, thawing, deposition of semen, and dosage of semen. Most factors are not in accordance with existing standards, causing a low pregnancy rate.
