Kajian Ekologis dan Biologi untuk Pengembangan Budidaya Rumput Laut (Eucheume cottonii di KEcamatan Kupang Barat Kabupaten Kupang Propinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur

Abstract

The aims of research in Kupang Barat Sub District, Kupang regency are (1) to analyze suitable ecology for sustainable development to seaweed culture, (2) to analyze capacity for sistainable development of seaweed and (3) to recommend the management plan for sustainable development of seaweed. The study methode used was survey and experimental culture. The result showed that physic, chemical and biology parameters be related to seaweed growth. the coastal area unsuitable is 14.720,97 ha, marginal suitable is about 3.940,35 ha and siutbale is about 1.840,80 ha with carrying capacity of 552.224 unit by total production of 256.075 to/year/ The strategy plans for sustaible development are 1) ecologycal environmental management, 2) Aspec technology to seaweeds culture and 3) Spatial plan for carrying capacity.
