Formulasi Dosis Pupuk pada Zeoponik untuk Media Tumbuh Tanaman Hias Daun Aglaonema sp. cv. Siam Aurora dan Anthurium crystallinum
Abstract
Plant growth media (PGM) is one of the important components in supporting the growth of ornamental plants. One of the PGM that has been developed and has characteristics that meet the requirements as a good PGM is a zeoponic made from zeolite, compost, and cocopeat. Ornamental plants are horticultural commodities that have high value and demand continues to increase. A common problem faced in the cultivation of ornamental plants is a change in the color of the leaf to pale or the color of the leaf to become not beautiful. The application of the balance dose of macro and micro fertilizers on zeoponics for foliage ornamental plants is expected to help growth and maintain the beauty of the plant. This study aims to determine the appropriate dose of fertilizer in zeoponics to support ornamental plants Aglaonema sp. cv. Siam Aurora and Anthurium crystallinum, as well as knowing changes in the chemical properties of PGM. The experiment was arranged using a single factor completely randomized design (CRD), namely the dose of fertilizer consisting of various combinations of N, P, and K fertilizers as well as micro fertilizers, using on Aglaonema sp. cv. Siam Aurora and Anthurium crystallinum. Parameters observed were plant height, leaf number, leaf length, leaf width, stem diameter, leaf chlorophyll, and plant beauty. PGM analysis was carried out before planting and the 11th week after planting (WAP). Analysis of nutrient levels in plants was carried out on plants aged 11th WAP. The results of the analysis of the chemical properties of PGM before planting had a neutral pH of 6.7-7.5, electrical conductivity (EC) 0.67-1.6 mS/cm which was classified as low with high macro nutrients N, P, K, Ca, Mg and the content of micro nutrients Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn, B, and Mo are classified as moderate to high. Zeoponic showed good chemical properties as a plant growth media. The chemical properties of PGM after 11th WAP showed a decrease in pH, C-organic, and EC. Based on plant growth parameters and beauty perception test of PGM ZA3 with a dose of NPK fertilizer (16-16-16) 0.375 g/l + micro fertilizer 0.5 mg/l is best for Aglaonema sp. cv. Siam Aurora. Anthurium crystallinum planted in PGM ZC2 with a dose of NPK fertilizer (16-16-16) 0.75 g/l + 0.5 mg/l micro fertilizer showed the best plant growth and beauty.
