Pemantauan Kupu-Kupu Pada Berbagai Tipe Habitat
Abstract
Butterflies are insects that are very amazing in nature because of the beauty of the color and shape of the wings. This insect has a very wide distribution area, starting from forests, grasslands, swamps, in open areas such as urban and rural areas, so it is often found everywhere. Its existence in nature has a variety of very important functions, namely as an insect pollinator or flower pollinator, environmental bioindicator, and as an ecosystem component.
In contrast to most other insect groups, most butterflies are well-documented, relatively easy to identify, and popular with the general public. In addition, they are highly sensitive to environmental changes, such as climate change, intensification or abandonment of agricultural land, and habitat fragmentation. These factors, among other things, make butterflies one of the best species groups to monitor changes in their diversity. In order to determine whether there is a change in either an increase or decrease in butterfly diversity in a habitat, it is necessary to have butterfly monitoring activities
