      Abstract
      The Relationship between Land Characteristics and Horticultural Crop Productivity in Cemplang Village, Cibungbulang District, Bogor Regency. Supervised by Dr. Ir. Darmawan, M.Sc and Putri Oktariani, SP, M.Agr. Land characteristics can affect agricultural commodities. Land characteristics that are not in accordance with the conditions for growing a plant will result in low productivity of the plant. This is experienced by the Bakin and Berkah farmer group in Cemplang Village which has horticultural commodities of banana, corn, cucumber and eggplant. The productivity of these commodities has not been maximized, because the cultivation practices carried out have not been adapted to the characteristics of the land. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the land to identify the inhibiting factors that affect horticultural growth so that improvement efforts can be made to achieve maximum productivity. The research methods include soil morphology, laboratory analysis, soil classification, evaluation of land suitability and analysis of horticultural commodity farming. Land evaluation was carried out using the concept of land suitability according to the FAO framework (1976) based on the BBSDLP (2011) criteria with a matching technique. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the soil was categorized as Typic Hapludults family, smooth, sour, presumably kaolinitic, and isohyperthermic. Land suitability classes are S3-wa, nr, na for banana, corn, and cucumber commodities and S3-na for eggplant. Cultivation of corn, cucumber and eggplant commodities is efficient but economic value can be increased. In order to produce maximum productivity, other improvements to the land are needed such as N and K fertilization, increasing soil organic matter content, and fertilizing according to the doses required for each commodity.
