Strategi Pengembangan Usahaternak Sapi Perah di Kecamatan Sukaresmi, Kabupaten Cianjur, Jawa Barat

Abstract

The goals of this research were : 1) to identify internal and external environmental factors which can influences the progress of dairy cattle business, 2) to formulate alternative development strategy and to decide the priority development strategy of dairy cattle business in Sukaresmi, SubDistrict of Cianjur. This research was carried out from Desember 2008 to January 2009. This research used primary dan secondary data. The data was analysed with descriptive analysis and three stages formulating analysis (input stage, matching stage, and decision stage). The result of input stage analysis show that total IFE matrix score is 2,615 and total EFE matrix score is 3,164. This condition place dairy cattle business in Sukaresmi, SubDistrict of Cianjur on sel II (Grow and Build) at matrix InternalExternal (IE). While, SWOT analysis produce five alternatives development strategy, which then analyzed by matrix QSP to decide the priority of the development strategy. Based on matrix QSP, the priority development strategy of dairy cattle business in Sukaresmi, SubDistrict of Cianjur is increase the business scale, develope the product diversification in farmer level, increase capital resources, improve dairy cattle management, and strengthen the function of farmer group.
