Persepsi, Motivasi, Sikap Dan Perilaku Masyarakat Lokal Terhadap Keberadaan Hutan (Kasus Di Kecamatan Gn. Kencana, Kabupaten Lebak, Propinsi Banten)
Abstract
A good forest management is an important part to get sustainable forest in Gn. Kencana where “Baduy Luar” and non Baduy in local community live. The aim of this research is to analyze perception, motivation, attitude and behavior from Baduy Luar and non Baduy community in Gn. Kencana about managing their forest in their area. This research use purposive sampling to get 30 respondent and 3 village sampling (Cimanyangray, Sukanegara and Keramatjaya) in Gn.Kencana . Perception for land use is for farming area. Perception for wood can get from quantity from that forest, closed standing stock, and diameter of trees. And then, for perception of water, it can get from periods water flow, and clear of water condition. The result, Baduy Luar communities have better perception than non Baduy about this forest. Local communities have motivation to subtantiate for life and to increase economic value from forest resources. Actually, both of them are agree to conserve the land forest, source of wood and water supply. We can look that action from a part of Baduy Luar community get source of wood from twig or natural died tree. Altough non Baduy community will cut the trees when they want. Local wisdom still be a part of Gn. Kencana community when they use natural resources (in this case is forest), especially for Baduy Luar. Keywords : Gn.
