      Abstract
      Populasi harimau sumatera semakin menurun akibat perburuan dan hilangnya habitat. Harimau yang berkonflik dengan manusia hendaknya diselamatkan dan dievakuasi oleh pihak berwenang serta direhabilitasi kemudian dilepasliarkan agar populasinya tidak semakin menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi faktor pengelolaan kesejahteraan harimau sumatera dalam kaitannya dengan prinsip kesejahteraan satwa dan mengukur tingkat kesejahteraannya serta menganalisis manajemen rehabilitasi dan pelepasliaran harimau sumatera di Pusat Rehabilitasi Harimau Sumatera Dharmasraya (PR-HSD) ARSARI. Metode yang digunakan meliputi studi pustaka, observasi lapang, dan wawancara. Pengelolaan pada aspek kesejahteraan, manajemen rehabilitasi, dan pelepasliaran harimau sumatera memegang lima prinsip kesejahteraan satwa dengan tingkat kesejahteraan satwa sangat baik. Tahap rehabilitasi terdiri dari tahap karantina dan perawatan. Tahap untuk melakukan pelepasliaran harimau sumatera meliputi pembentukan tim lepasliar, persiapan lokasi lepasliar, pemeriksaan kesehatan, dan pemasangan GPS Collar pada harimau sumatera yang akan dilepasliarkan.
       
      The Sumatran tiger population is decreasing due to hunting and habitat loss. Tigers in conflict with humans should be rescued and evacuated by the authorities and rehabilitated then released into the wild so that the population does not decrease further. This study aims to identify the welfare management factors of the sumatran tiger in relation to the principles of animal welfare and measure the level of welfare and analyze the rehabilitation and release management of the sumatran tiger at Pusat Rehabilitasi Harimau Sumatera Dharmasraya ARSARI. The methods used include literature study, field observations, and interviews. Management in the aspect of welfare, rehabilitation management, and the release of Sumatran tigers holds five principles of animal welfare with. The rehabilitation steps consist of quarantine and treatment steps. The steps for releasing the sumatran tiger are forming a release team, preparation of the release site, medical checkup, and installation of a GPS Collar on the sumatran tiger to be released.
