Kenyamanan Termal Berdasarkan Perbedaan Ketinggian Wilayah dan Tutupan Lahan di Sumatra Utara
Abstract
cekaman panas moderate heat stress.
wilayah dengan kondisi no thermal stress. Berdasarkan pola seasonal, rata-rata
moderate heat stress sampai dengan very strong heat stress. Tingkat kenyamanan
sumbangan keragaman sebesar 78 %. UTCI juga dipengaruhi oleh tutupan lahan
dengan sumbangan keragaman terhadap UTCI sebesar 77 %. Humans respond to climate with buildings, clothing, or even air conditioners.
The purpose of the human response is to get a feel of comfort. This study aims to
obtain: (1) the distribution of the thermal comfort, expressed in the heat stress index,
by place, time, and land cover in North Sumatra, (2) the identification of the effect
of altitude and vegetation index to thermal comfort. Thermal comfort identification
is based on the Universal Thermal Climate Index (UTCI) heat stress level. The
higher UTCI value, the more uncomfortable conditions are due to the higher heat
stress. The results showed that on average the UTCI in the North Sumatra region
from 2011-2020 was in moderate heat stress category. The eastern region of North
Sumatra, which is an area with a low-lying topography in the form of a beach with
a land cover dominated by urban areas, has a higher heat stress value. The low heat
stress value is in central to the western region of North Sumatra which is a
mountainous area. The morning is dominated by areas with no thermal stress
category. Based on the seasonal pattern, the low average heat stress occurs in DJF
with no thermal stress category, while high heat stress conditions occur in JJA with
moderate heat stress to very strong heat stress category. Thermal comfort level
indicated by UTCI is influenced by altitude with a contribution to the variance of
78 %. UTCI is also influenced by land cover with the contribution of diversity to
the UTCI variance 77 %
